Orthoptic Services
Orthoptics deals with the diagnosis and treatment of strabismus (crossed-eyes) and amblyopia (lazy eye), eye muscle disorders that usually occur in young children.
GTOC offers complete orthoptic services through our certified orthoptist Jill Riecke. Jill has over ten years of experience as an orthoptist, both treating patients and teaching ophthalmology residents.
Orthoptists specialize in treating amblyopia and strabismus. Our ophthalmologists work closely with orthoptists in treating eye muscle disorders. Orthoptists may see patients independently in managing amblyopia and other medical conditions.
GTOC is the only clinic in Northern Michigan to offer full-time orthoptic services.
