MicroLaserPeel Skin Resurfacing
MicroLaserPeel is different than microdermabrasion or chemical peels. MicroLaserPeel can be thought of as a step between microdermabrasion and more invasive procedures such as the CO2 laser. Microdermabrasion can reach a depth of approximately ten microns, while MicroLaserPeel can reach as deep as 60 microns, roughly the thickness of a piece of notebook paper. MicroLaserPeel is a safe, gentle, precise treatment which removes the superficial layer of skin cells using a YAG erbium laser, resulting in the improvement of wrinkles, scars, keratoses, or pigmentation problems. It may also be recommended as an additional treatment to eyelid surgery. The procedure is typically repeated two to four times over a three month period. Most patients experience only mild discomfort, risks are minimal, and complications are rare. Results can be seen in just a few days, with complete healing in about two weeks.
